Default GTL Problem

I have just started online racing in GTL and I sometimes have a
problem with the pop up screen that announces a new player loading
running continuosly. Only with difficulty can I get to the screens
for qualifying and racing, and then I cannot hear the sound of my own
car. This does not happen every race but it is quite frequent.

Is there any way to remedy this?
