2 Questions for Koni users

Hey Koni Sport users,

I am thinking about joining your ranks! But I would like to ask you a
couple things.

- How easy or difficult are they to adjust?
- Once you changed to Konis, have you ever considered replacing with
anything else? (And if so, how hard would that be after drilling out
the mounts?)

I have the Koni Sport kit (Koni dampers and MX5Parts' own springs) applied a
year ago.
Adjusting the dampers is easy with the knob on top. Adjusting the ride
height is more difficult. The Sport kit has 3 grooves in the body with rings
in it on which the spring-shelves rest. Adjusting the height means removing
the spring so you need to compress the spring on the car. This can be done
but is fiddly.

I'm happy with these absorbers so no need to replace.

Easy, once the supplied knob is in place. But in front, I can't use the
knob because my shock tower brace is in the way (I use needlenose pliers
instead), and in back I have to remove the spare tire and gas filler
shield to reach the shocks. With stock springs, I set them at 1/4 turn
from full soft and haven't touched them for years.

No way. Only competitive racers need more shock than Koni Sport.

Flat washers should do the trick. But if you're upgrading from Konis,
you'll surely be replacing the shock mounts as well.
