I need to get a license after DUI in CA. HELP!
I was found guilty of DUI 9 1/2 years ago and apparently didn't learn
my lesson, I recieved a second DUI about a year ago which was counted as #2. I now have learned and have stopped drinking all together but am faced with a major problem. I need to start driving or I'll lose my job in outside sales. My employer knows about my situation and has been very supportive, as long as I am able to continue to post numbers they've left me alone. I hired someone to drive me around part-time but can't afford to do it any longer, my employers are losing patience and have told me to drive without a license. I'm a father of two and my wife works full-time, we need two incomes just to survive. Apparently, after mutiple offenses you can't get a restricted license until you've completed the 2nd offenders program which is 18 months and I've only scratched the surface. Before every one starts hammering on me about being an idiot for placing myself in this situation, I already know it, so don't waste your time or mine. I never went out drinking, my wife worked nights and I worked days, I took care of my two kids at night for 4 years, helping with homework, cooking dinner and the bed time routine. When I found out that my wife was having an affair I got drunk and made a bad decision. What I need is some constructive advise! |

On the off chance this is for real the problem and solutions would seem to be obvious. The problem is you need transportation but can't drive. Your choices are to either get another job, work out some arrangement for having another sales jock give you a ride, take public transportation, or hitchhike. |

This man is not a criminal. He is a person who HONESTLY made mistakes
in his life, and admits to them. A 20 year sentence for a mistake that no one was hurt in! I am glad that most people do NOT see things your way, laura bush, because YOU ARE INSANE! I am sure that you are not perfect yourself, laura bush, so why are you insisting that others have to be? Making up for your own shortcomings, by directing attention at other people's? This guy is just going to have to give up on his outside sales job, and ask the employer to look for a NEW job for him, or just bite the bullet, keep on working, let them fire him, and find ANOTHER job, while he collects unemployment. |

You need to find a job that doesn't entail as much driving as a sales job does, one where you can either walk or take public transportation to, or one where you can work out of your home. The 2nd question is why do you need two incomes to survive? Do you have a bunch of ameneties that you can get rid of, perhaps a couple of cell phone bills, cable/satellite TV, new car purchase, too big of a house payment, etc? It's time to make sacrafices until you can get back to your original income level. |

As long as you continue to demonstrate hypocritical behavior regarding Ted Kennedy, it most certainly is a "crimina coddler newsgroup." -- El Pollo Loco (Laura Bush Murdered Her Boyfriend) demonstrates it's complete gullibility, stupidity, and state of delusion when it falls for an April Fool's joke, hook, line, and sinker: > http://groups.google.com/group/alt.p...6999983?hl=en& Ragnar wrote: > Gods, you're dumb. So don't put a third term attempt past him. I mean who's gonna stop him. The democrats and the media are totally bought off. |
