1992 HONDA ACCORD EXR - automatic transmission problem

I am not sure if anyone experiences this problem with their older
models honda. My 1992 HONDA ACCORD EXR (281 k) seems to be stuck on
the "R" gear. Even when the car is in Parked gear, if I step on the
gas, the car will reverse. Same thing happens when I shift it in "R"
and "N" and "D4, D3, 2, 1". I've checked the fluid level, and it's
good. The transmission fluid is light brown. Admittedly, I haven't
changed the filter for a while.

Anyone has any ideas what's wrong with my car or experiences similar
problem? Any inputs will be much appreciated. Please send to

turn out it's the shifter cable.
