Check out the relay first. look in relay distribution center under hood.

ON AN ELDO THE RADIATOR FAN CONTROL UNIT IS LOCATED BEHIND THE FRONT
GRILL NEXT TO THE HEAD LIGHT = USUALLY ON THE DRIVERS SIDE.THEY ARE COMMON TO FAIL.THE FANS WILL RUN W/KEY OUT. IF THE FAN ONLY STAY RUNNING WITH THE CAR RUNNING THEN THE TEMP SENSOR IS MOST LIKELY BAD AND THE SERVICE ENG LIGHT WILL BE ON.
