How did you decide, it was getting fuel? If it just had a little pressure
at the schrader valve, that may be from the initial prime.

If it cranks good but won't start, I check for spark at the plugs and
injector pulse, while a helper cranks the engine.

I guess you could use a screw-driver to check for spark, but I suggest a
spark-tester from the auto store. The plug wire connects on the end of the
tester, then ground the tester to the engine block, if the tester has
adjustable points, leave a little gap, have helper crank and watch for
spark.

Sometimes, on checking for an injector pulse, I can feel the injectors
vibrate while the engine is being cranked, or you could use a noid-lite.

If you have neither spark or injector pulse, I'd check the cam and crank
sensors for a signal.

I just wanted to add. I believe you have an oil pressure switch in the fuel
pump circuit, so once you crank the engine enough to build oil pressure,
the switch closes, and you will have fuel pressure on the fuel rail, but
without the proper cam and crank signal, I don't believe the injectors
will pulse.

It's probably the crank senor, common problem with this car. easy and cheap
fix.
