'87 Jetta - Whatsa 'C' code engine?
I'm looking up a fuel pump for my GLI 16V CIS-E.
Catalog asks if it's a C-code engine. How do I determine that? I do not have the VIN handy. -- - - Rex Burkheimer WM Automotive Fort Worth TX

The 1.8 16V is either a PL or a 9A (those are the two 16V engines found in A2 Jettas...one is a 1.8 and the other is a 2.0 but I never can remember which is which). never heard of a "C" code engine.
