Default GTR / GTR2 demands for graphics processor

Hi,

I'm about to get a new laptop and there are three ATI graphics
processors to choose from. The models are Mobility Radeon X1300, X1400
and Mobility FireGL V5200.

I was hoping to get some help because I don't know which one (if any)
is able to run GTR and possibly GTR2?

Thank you in advance;
Matti

I wouldn't be too optimistic about any laptop integrated graphics running
GTR2 very well even at low settings. GTR might be ok with the X1400 and I am
not sure about the FireGL since I believe that it is more of a multimedia
card than a performance card. As much memory as you can put into the laptop
will help too since all your choices will use system memory, as much as
256megs of it. I have the V5200 in my Core Duo laptop but have not tried any
sims on it at all. It is an adequate card for capture and video stuff, but I
doubt it would be a good performer for racing sims.

In one of my laptops I used to have Radeon Mobility 9600, and it did
the job with GTR with reduced detail level, Then again one with Intel
integrated graphics media accelerator 915 or something like that could
not run GTR at all, because it had no memory of it's own - which GTR
uses.

The GTR2 demo runs OK on a Dell XPS M1710 ;-)

No they aren't, just found a nice alternative with ATI X1600. I think
it do the job...
