GTR / GTR2 demands for graphics processor
Hi,
I'm about to get a new laptop and there are three ATI graphics processors to choose from. The models are Mobility Radeon X1300, X1400 and Mobility FireGL V5200. I was hoping to get some help because I don't know which one (if any) is able to run GTR and possibly GTR2? Thank you in advance; Matti |

GTR might be ok with the X1400 and I am not sure about the FireGL since I believe that it is more of a multimedia card than a performance card. As much memory as you can put into the laptop will help too since all your choices will use system memory, as much as 256megs of it. I have the V5200 in my Core Duo laptop but have not tried any sims on it at all. It is an adequate card for capture and video stuff, but I doubt it would be a good performer for racing sims. Ed |

Andi Cole kirjoitti: > He he. Nice one! I was just pointing out that laptops aren't all bad these > days in reply to -- No they aren't, just found a nice alternative with ATI X1600. I think it do the job... |
