Alfa 146 rough idle
My 1999 model Alfa 146 has irregular idling when hot. No problems starting,
no problems while warming up. When it gets very hot (in traffic, on hot days especially) it starts to run unevenly at idle. It gets worse if extra load is put on the engine - eg heated rear window switched on. The dealer can't say what's wrong. They changed the CPU (main computer chip), it didn't help. I've been told it could be the lamda sensor, or the idle valve - anyone out there got any suggestions? Pete (UK)
