Default Warning light

I have a 156 that has just started to show a warning light when the engine
is switched on. Unfortunately I have lost the car manual so could anyone
tell me what it means?

The light is in the lower half of the speedo, right hand instrument dial, is
yellow/amber and looks like an inverted light bulb with an exclamation in
it.

Thanks
Stuart

It's a bulb failure somewhere. If it's the headlights/sidelights/front
indicators, be prepared to lose some knuckle skin...

It could be a sensor playing up. I've had that a couple of times with
ours.

It's just a broken lightbulb.
If you switch of your lights, the amber warninglight should disappear.

£300?!

I'd have just taken out the bulb and resort to manually checking the lights
every once in a while. £300 could go towards getting my poor Sprint back on
the road.

Any donations welcome..

Unfortunately it was not just the lamp. It was a faulty Rev counter that
caused the bulb/wiring fault indicator to stay alight. The Rev counter was
constantly drawing current and leaving me with starting problems daily.

Just a warning to remind folk that the little light doesn't ONLY mean that
a lamp has blown :-(
