geo metro

okay, i have never purchased a car from a private party.

this fellow is offering me a 1992 geo metro for $400 dollars, with
101K miles, no dents showing.

and i need a car badly.

i could not afford the carfax fee especially since i don't have a
credit card.

however, when i ran the free part, it came up with 15 records.

the vin is VIN # 2C1MR2461N6807818.

but i reason since it is so cheap, just buy it and budget $1,000 for
any repairs.

i wonder how do i check to see if there are any tickets or liens on
the car?

any advice?
