That's nice. speed differences are just fine IF there IS _lane displine_.

You are being purposely absurd. My claim was roads are safer when the
speed limit is PROPERLY posted for the type of road. Residential streets
are properly posted in well over 9 out of 10 cases. Interstates are _NOT_
posted properly in well over 9 out of 10 cases. regular arterial streets are
also underposted more often than not.

If all other types of roads were properly posted as often as residential
roads, then they could be safety maximized as well. Unless you are
proposing the speed kills nonsense of never driving fast enough to cause
a fatality, in which case it would be <5mph everywhere.
