A BMW driver without any scruples. I hope this guy's drivers license
and car disappears soon from the radar. He can be lucky not to have
crashed into the opposite traffic at the on-ramp. Just ridiculous ....

His only mistake (although this was a HUGE mistake) was in doing that with
other traffic around. On a closed course, I would applaud any driver who
could pull that off. I myself was taught to drive by a stock car racer who
(among other things) often took curves sideways, just like this BMW driver.
But, he was smart enough not to do it with any other traffic around. I'm a
bit out of practice, but I could probably do the same, with no harm to the
vehicle (or anything else) other than a little extra wear on the rear tires.

BTW, I agree with you that the driver deserves to lose his license. He is
obviously skilled, but that does NOT excuse such dangerous
avior. -Dave

Can that kind of maneuver be done in a FWD car?

only by judicious use of the handbrake, which isn't nearly as much fun.
