FIRST are digging their own graves. When you think of all the expertise out there in the sim community, you'd think they'd know better than to give them good reason to screw them over! |

Also, there is no multiplayer. Gee, I wonder why?

The code ITSELF has to be made available PUBLICALLY so Joe Public is able to compile his very own EXE file (called "rolling your own" in some circles). As far as I have been aware - Papy has NEVER released the code to Joe Public, so therefore N2K3 is "closed source". The release of "tools" for Joe Public to play with are inconsequential. Do they re-write the code in any way? Not that I have seen... Now someone prove me wrong! |

Via Sierra? I don't have a "Race Sierra" button in the upper right,
like I do with either of my other installs? If you mean DIrect IP or LAN, then yes, there is MP. |

Anyway, point is, there are a lot of people out there that can hurt an online gaming company. Why give them good reason to do so? |

LOL,
You have to get to the folder the game installed itself, run the 3dconfig utility. rb21 enlightened us with: > I can't get it to work. Everythings ok until I click to go race and it > keeps saying "Could not initialize the replay system" and then it says > "Cancelling weekend" Any thoughts? Thanks |

I cant believe it, so to you are saying: in your mind, you are in this
game.... your running around the track at 200mph, and you call your crewchief, "what the hell does the sign in turn 4 say, goddam it?" This sux.. as it matters to you in the scheme of racing simulation? oh-kay fine. Darus enlightened us with: > I'll stick with the superspeedway.net season updates. It's a bit more > accurate and the billboards aren't blurry. This one has some good > points, and I have to see about merging the two of them together. |

Taking into account the "rave" review above ("updates the graphics
insanely"), I'd EXPECT the graphics to be BETTER than what I have now. Or at least the same. Why would I go backwards in gfx quality? And there is no one "out there" to contact for these issues. Plus the fact the MP is only good for Direct IP, with the dozen or so ppl. that have this mod. Plus, it's all stolen goods. Wow, what a deal! On the other hand, I can use the SS.net packages, get the goods from them and get "tech support" if needed. Plus, his mods are all Sierra compatible. Hmmmm...what to do?
