Mark I Miata Wiper Problem
Hi,
I own a 'V-Spec' 93 Miata, and the wiper will not operate. I noticed this when it started to rain heavily and at first, the blades worked sporadically. Now however, they don't move at all. Perhaps water entered the wiper mechanism? When I move the stalk to the first 2 settings, I hear a buzzing noise from the stalk. When I place the stalk in its 3rd setting, the buzzing stops and (what I believe to be) the defroster lamp for the hardtop located next to RPM comes on. Can anyone tell me whats going on and how to fix this, as I can't find any answers on the Internet? Thanks, Alex |

Someone here a lot better than myself in electrical diagnosis should be able to tell you how to test both parts for proper resistance, etc. If it is the mechanism, I have one that works with 75K miles on it that I will sell cheap if you are interested. This e-mail works. Pat |

Mark I Miata Wiper Problem
Thanks for your advice.
Just to let anyone with this problem know - the garage said there was a connection/contact issue with the wires. These are the wires that run in the door-side of both footwells. These were replaced.
