I'd set my left signal to take a left fork. The turn wasn't enough to cancel the signal. On a sunny day I wouldn't see the flash on the dashboard. With the windows down a little, I wouldn't hear the tick. I found a beeper in my electronics junk box and installed it between the two outputs of the flasher, by the steering column. The beeper drains through the signal lights on the unused side, but the current isn't enough to make them glow. I've impressed many passengers with my beeping. Sincerely, Choreboy |

They're the most annoying cars to drive out there (in my opinion). They need to tone down all the "annunciator" and "auto" stuff they have. OR, at least let the owner turn some of that stuff off! |

On older ones, just use the MALL PGM fuse, and play with it, and on the newer cars, just go to the dealer, borrow the Tech-II and you can program literally everything to do as you want, even stuff they don't tell you about in the owner's manual... I hate that stuff too... -- ---------------------- http://www.saab-900.tk The Saab Tech Resource ---------------------- |

Not only does it make a fairly audible click when operating, I can actually feel the click in my hands through the steering wheel. In all the crappy old cars I used to drive, one of the first things to die is the auto-cancel on the turn-signal switch, so I've long since gotten used to having to turn off the blinker manually, whether I'm doing a 180 or just changing lanes. I even do this in my current car, where everything's new enough it actually still functions as it did when it left the lot... -- Bob |
