repaint options

I bought a car with oxydated paint in some places, and I'd like to do
a complete repaint. Any tips on finding a good place to where do have
this done?

I saw an ad in yellow pages that advertized complete repaints for $200
(europaint only, whatever that means). After I called them, they said
it only applies to certain colors. White, silver and black are $400.
Opinions?

If it is a clunker that you intend to throw away in a year or so, go right
ahead. You will not get a quality full paintjob for 400 dollars though.

Try rubbing out the paint with some polishing compound. Don't use a machine
unless you are experienced. This will often bring back the shine on
oxidized paint.
