Default Info on K&N filters

I have heard that K&N filters have to be washed then oiled, is this
true? and which oil do you have to use and how? I am thinking of
fitting one to the 147.

It does not gif you any more horse power, it gifs somewhat more torque, but
the real result is that the engine runs smoother, easier.

An Open Air Filter is only good for the sound it's producing.

And, when you drive your car for i.e. 100.000km's it's cheaper than an
originall filter that has to be replaced every 20.000km compared to just a
cleaning/oil service of the K&N filter every 100.000km
