I think there are about 3-5 screws to remove in addition to the plastic fasteners. Stick a rag or two under the core. Remove the clamps on the two hoses in the engine compartment. I use a 3 foot pry bar to remove the hoses since the old core is trash anyway. As long as you keep the heater hoses elevated you probably won't even need to drain any coolant from the radiator. I'd put on some new hoses too unless they are fairly new. |

I knew I would probably have to remove the dash, but after that I'm clueless. So, you say I need to access the Library. I have a '91 Ford Explorer Chilton's Manual in the car, shouldn't that be enough to go with? Thanks. MAC |

It's really not very difficult or complicated on the '91s. The hardest part is getting the old hoses off. |
