? Painting your car and blending
I have a new Silver Mazda3 (9 months old) 4 door and almost immediately
I noticed the paint was slightly off on all 4 doors (slightly darker). I had some friends take a look at it and they all said the same thing, that's it's the lighting so I shrugged it off. Now, my same friends in different light all agree, the paint doesn't match. We looked at it again and again and they do agree, the paint is different. I am going back to the dealer on Friday for them to look at the paint and I am wondering what my are options are. Clearly, they won't give me a new car despite the low mileage. I know that insurance companies pay bodyshops to "blend" the paint but I don't know what this actually is and I don't want to thin-out the existing paint. I understand that newer vehicles now use more environmentally friendly paint (mine I believe is water based). Any advice or info is appreciated. Thanks M |
