So what is your problem with -him- speeding? In order for him to be
blocking you, you to had to have been speeding or he would have been
out of your way.

Looks like a troll to me.

1) It's not his job to accommodate you. If there isn't a gap next to you,
don't assume one will be made; speed up or *slow down*, then when you're
ready to change lanes, signal your intentions. Don't signal THEN look for a
gap. If he truly was speeding up, that means there'd have been a mighty big
gap behind him.

2) Plan ahead. Assuming you are familiar with this area, you know you will
need to get into the left lane, so as you are approaching the intersection,
slip into a gap in the left lane. You had the blinders on, oblivious to the
fact that there was a truck beside you, until you decided to move over at
the last minute and he was in the way. If you planned ahead you'd know the
situation of traffic around you before trying to change lanes.

If you consider this statement, he didn't follow the MFFY philosophy.
He *actually* did the right thing, once he realized he had screwed up
by going past and coming back.

But he still expected "consideration". He just couldn't get it. The
reason he did the right thing is because the pick up truck's driver did
the right thing and didn't yield to him.

Yep, because he was -forced- to do the right thing.

No, it's an example of you not changing lanes early enough so that you
could make your turn in time.

Preferably the former, or just traveling at a constant speed and waiting for
the gap to come to you, but if that doesn't work (person beside you speeding
up), slow down, and move over in a short period of time won't delay drivers
behind greatly, they will soon catch up to the vehicle that was ahead of
you.

I'm sure that 99% of people who whine about other people are doing things
wrong themselves. I've very rarely had someone tailgate me, honk at me,
flash their brights at me, block a lane change, or flash their brake lights
at me, because I try to stay out of the way (without being a total pussy).
Example: if I'm passing, I make the maneuver quickly, move over, and
amazingly, people don't come up behind me and honk and flash their lights.
