Check the tires for broken belts and tread seperation as well. This is
relatively easy to do. With the tire still on the cor, run your hand around it and check for bumps and/or flat spots. You can also take the tire off the car and try to roll it. I have had tires with tread seperation which will roll fine until they hit the bad spot and thn veer to the right or left and fall over. In a couple of cases, the tire dealer replaced them for free. teem wrote: > On Tue, 19 Sep 2006 15:07:07 GMT, RK Henry > > wrote: > > >On Tue, 19 Sep 2006 11:07:47 GMT, "Joe" > > >wrote: > > > >>"teem" > wrote in message > . .. > >>> Getting my Ion oil changed, tires rotated,AND see WTF that thumping > >>> niose is.I'm out of the warrenty, just passed 50K,hope the bill doesn't > >>> burn too bad. > >> > >>My money is on shock / strut replacement for the thump. > > > >Or have the tires balanced while they're being rotated. > > > >RK Henry > God,I hope it's not a strut!,they better balance them!.The tail pipe > doesn't ''sound'' like it's making the noise.i notice the car squeak > when I get out of it.Let you all know tomorrow night. |
