The whole thing can be changed with the flick of a little txt editing to
give you all cars, like it SHOULD be .

This is not a Need for Speed series title, its a serious simulation. If I
pay, gimme.

I'm so unsure of what's gonna happen with rFactor. Will the novelty factor
wear off pretty fast? Those tracks shipped with the game are average and
people will get tired quick. And we can bet those first third-party tracks
modified for rFactor will be very crude.

No need to text edit, you just type "ISI_BABYFACTORY" in the chat
window and you get all the cars.

or you could read the readme.txt and discover that the 'Y' key restarts
the race. unless you reassign to another key.

hehe sorry for top posting
has anyone let the credits scroll though when leaving the game.

I think you'll notice some top notch editors in there. Yes the first tracks
"ported" will not be up to scratch. but ISI have said, they really would
like the track editors to start from scratch with tracks. not convert. give
the editors a chance. you'll get some great tracks released soon.

cheers

steve

Have you tried setting the AI to 50% and the aggression to 25%? It seems to
work for people on RSC.

Yeah hmm....

Suit exec : "Hey we can skip tracks and just give the tools to the
community!"

Suit exec 2 : "What a marvellous idea, we cut all cost in true track
modeling and licensing, PLUS we look like we care about the community".

Suits altogether : "Profit!"

well, if you got real world tracks and cars released with the game, you
would've had to pay more for the game.

you'll still get the real world tracks, free of charge. just will have to
wait for them.

****. everyone wants everything right here, right now.
how long did you have to wait for gpl tracks. how long for n2k2 and n2k3
tracks. how long before add on tracks for gtr. you've got Lime Rock within
24 hours.

yes, everything is about money. its how the world runs.

but I know I'd rather wait and get a free track done well, than a track I
paid for done badly.

cheers

rFactor already costs as much as a standard game on the shelves, while being
very limited in tracks. Very limited. If you say the sim would have cost
more, then they have some problems with their development cost..

No nonono.... those sims already had tracks in quality and quantity out of
the box. They cost the same as rFactor.

Other than yours Steve there weren't too many add on tracks to the
quality of the original developer. Lots of little problems in just about
all of them. I hope that changes though.
