I've been listening to those lately on XM. Especially the old comedy shows like Jack Benny, Burns and Allen and even Red Skelton. Skelton's hilarious. If he forgets lines he just ad libs. I think he was the Robin Williams of my parents generation. I also like the old westerns line the Lone Ranger and even Hopalong Cassidy. It's interesting listening to the Gunsmoke radio shows. I grew up watching James Arness play Matt Dillon on the TV series but on the radio shows it was Robert Conrad playing that role. |
