Netkar pro has a new public beta for free as demo with Formula 1600
Openwheelers and the full version for a subscription price of EUR 19,90.
It's one of the best sims ever.

You forgot to add... "made by one of most unreliable developers seen this
century."

Anyhow, is this an upgrade to 1.03? I have a license for that version,
which promised a lot and delivered nothing.

Are you saying that I have to fork out more cash for something I should have
gotten a long time ago?

I've fiddled with the demo before now and not been too impressed. Yesterday the low
price persuaded me to buy it, but the earth has -- so far anyway -- remained
unmoved for me. :-)

I may just be suffering from a Lotus79 hangover though. My latest trip to iLand
expired at the weekend and the last thing I drove there was the 79 at Road Atlanta.
It was a rather satisfying experience! Unlike the official race last week at
Sebring. I hate that track with a passion.

Anyway, hopefully without iRacing as a distraction for a while I can give NKPro a
proper test. It's certainly an interesting project.

But after all this time only a new GUI, a new server and a few minor
tweaks? The Hillclimb still isn't in? Somehow it makes me sad...

Kunos promises a lot and never delivers. I can say that here, 'cause if you
go to a forum and say that, they will ban you. They aren't concerned with
the truth. I mean, the guy would promise all these great things and then
disappear for months at a time, without a word.

are certain you can deliver it in a realistic time frame.

As a one man project I have nothing but admiration for NKPro. As a sim though it
has yet to snare my interest. It's early days though and I need to spend more time
with it instead of spinning my way around the 'Ring in the Lotus 67 in rFactor. ->

There's no trick. If you say you're going to do something then it should be
done. Saying your going to do something and then not doing it is simply
deception, knowing full well that promises are being made with no intention
of fulfilling them.

You have proof is this in this case?

I too have an nkpro license tucked away somewhere, I think I didn't
even try the latest patch (1.03) as the persistent online chaos kept
me away from it.

Having said said, those formula fords provide one of the most "raw"
(for lack of other words, maybe "authentic") driving experiences I've
had in any sim. Very promising, and while Kunos improves the product
I'll happily wait for the next major release. 19 Euros sounds
tempting, though.

On another note, the recent Autosimsport issue got me interested in
VGP3. Has anybody tried this? I was this short of buying it, but then
I couldn't figure out how to get my g25 working with the "technical
demo" you're supposed to run first before purchasing.
