Default electric issue - parking lights intermittently stay on

no changes have been made in the last month and suddenly this past
week i turn off the car and open the door and the 'lights on' noise
goes off. it's happened 4 times this past week, and yes the lights are
turned off, but the parking lights stay on. i've had to resort to
disconnecting the neg on the battery till this is fixed. any ideas?
thanks,
ziv

Some aftermarket alarm sytems are connected to the park lites for status
purposes, if the module goes bad it can keep the lites on, one possibility.

this seems like a definite possibilty. i had the alarm installed at
the dealership when i purchased the car, and as i recall there is a
wire related to the alarm that comes into the dash and plugs into one
of the fuses. when i turn the alarm on and off, the parking lights
flash. so what module would i be looking for that may have gone bad?
i'll go check that fuse right away.
thanks,
ziv

hmm, alarm. when the alarm gets activated or turned off, the parking
lights blink. sounds like this could be the culprit. what module would
i be looking at that may go bad?
thanks,
ziv
