Default I appreciate the real NASCAR now

After playing N2003 for hours, mostly on the Atlanta track, and
learning the nuances of cyber stock car racing, I decided to watch the
real NASCAR Atlanta race last Sunday, mostly out of curiousity to see
how accurate N2003 was to the real thing.

It is very accurate down to the dips and bumps of the track. I have a
new understanding of NASCAR now. I know what wedge and a track bar
adjustment are, how tire temperature affects handling and minute
adjustments can make a big difference in handling. I understand how
pro race drivers make it look so easy, yet a split-second lapse in
concentration can spell disaster. I know what it's like to spin out of
control at 180 mph!

N2003 has given me whole new appeciation of the sport.

Agree, that's why N2003 is the best nascar sim out on the market.

Just Curious, how long have you been watching Real NASCAR outside the
playing the simulator games?

I have watched the Real NASCAR for 30 years now. And, to have seen it back
then, one really gains a very overwhelming appreciation for what the drivers
go through, then and now.

I guess it wouldn't take a simulator for me to understand how wild, on the
edge, and out-of-control it can be for them at times. But, I guess I will
have to get into the simulator more now than what I have.

I know that rav4 is not a real 4x4 in terms of what real 4x4's are, but we all have to start some place, right? LovingPerson 4x4 2 January 12th 04 11:34 AM
