Yup. Bought the '05 Mazdaspeed MX-5. Thanks u guys, for answering my
question about the fuel pump. I love the car. I felt a little bad giving
up my '99 Miata but the Mazdaspeed handles like a dream. Shifting is
smoother, steering is tighter. I red lined it already - shouldn't have
done that - and at only 190 miles. Will be more careful.

Awesome! I really don't think you'll regret it. Keep us posted. The seats
are also a big improvement over your 99's aren't they?

The seats are a little big for me. See, I weigh around 90 pounds. I
need a cushion. Since these seats are leather, I slide around. My '99
were cloth and the friction helped. My previous MX-5 had no frills and
now I have a 6CD changer, power locks, a remote, Bose. I don't care for
these and I all like is good handling. Now I feel like I am being
pampered - I have great handling, nice power and the frills.

Oh, I had a Honda guy try to race me at the signals. Sheesh!!!

I recommend the CG-Lock:
http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?...stocknumber=21
-16300

It lets you cinch down the lap portion of the belt snugly while leaving
the shoulder part tensioned by the inertia reel. Easily disabled when
you don't need to be held securely in place. A little pricey, but worth
it if you corner hard enough to need it.

I red lined your car already at 45 miles....no wait, that was a 2006 MX-5.
;-)

There were no 2006 turbos for me to test drive....they have to work on that!
You are going to love that car!
