Input needed on Tokico struts / shocks
Hi,
As my subject line says, I'm looking for input on Tokico struts / shocks for my 1994 325is. I'm currently running 1 year old Bilstein monotubes and I truly detest them. I'm thinking of going with the Tokico HPs all the way around. I've used the brand on my Mustangs and have really liked the ride. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them on an E36. Thanks, Wayne K. |

Are they too stiff? Not stiff enough? As a point of reference, they are about the best shock available for a BMW and can be rebuilt as well. They are also far better than anything that Tokico has ever made. or have I been trolled? -Fred W |

What is it about the Bilsteins that you do not like?
My '94 has 205,000 miles. I have put 100,000 of them on since October 2000. I have not replaced the shocks in all this time, and I am certain that I should give this area some thought. Bilsteins are among the considerations. That's nice, but it looks like a lowering kit, and my car is already lower
than his starting measurement, and my rear is lower than his finish measurment. I have the Factory Sprot Suspension package, perhaps that is the difference. Having said that, my question is, what's wrong with Bilsteins? The write up even suggests that his new setup is not as good as Bilsteins, yet the OP is looking at the Tokico parts as an improvement, making me wonder even more, what is wrong with Bilsteins?
