Rear Bumper Replacement Options for a '77 Spider
Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement bumper for a '77
Spider? I've heard people say that a '72 to '74 Spider bumper is a good option, but finding one is another thing. I even heard someone say that a rear bumper from a mid-80s VW Rabbit GTI is a good fit. Can anyone verify this? Finally, the fibreglass replacement options I've seen are about $700 (Cdn.) installed. Has anyone seen better? Thanks! |

There is a small chrome strip separating the rubber top and bottoms. It separates... especially in Canada with the temperature changes. Getting another of the same type isn't the solution. Greg. |

What about the earlier chrome bumpers (or aren't they street legal over
there?) "G. Last month, I had a bad leak from my slave cylinder (clutch) that developed over the winter. Here in Toronto, I was quoted upwards of $200 (Cdn.) for the part, plus labour. Fortunately, I have friends who are mechanically inclined. I ordered the part of international-auto (for $60 US, if I recall) and it arrived within days. My friends and I dropped it in and it was a perfect fit. I checked with them on the bumper replacement, but they can't help on that front without blowing the bank account. Still want to beat the bushes before giving in. Have a great weekend. Greg. |

OK, but please don't put Golf (Rabbit over there) bumpers on an Alfa. That's
like a woman with a beard!!!! Frank "G. MacPherson" > schreef in bericht om... > "Frank Claasen" > wrote in message >... > > Do you know these guys?
