Default Delco oil filters

Does anyone know what Delco is doing with their numbering system for their
oil filters?

At one time I found they were putting check valves in all of them instead of
just the horizontal filters to eliminate stock/numbers. Went to buy some
today and couldn't find any PF44 and after poking around I found that it is
replaced by PF46. Is that the new number with the check? Same thing with the
PF51 that is now the PF52?
