Bolt ons to pep up a stratus
Given the aftermarket parts available for Honda's, Mustangs, etc, I was
wondering if there is much out there to soup up a 2002 Stratus? (2.4 L 4 cylinder, DOHC). I know Dodge makes a 2.4 L turbo. Is a turbo kit available as an aftermarket part? Alan Wedin http://home.earthlink.net/~awedinsprint |

It runs about $3000 for the full package, I think their website is rippmods.com, but there is definately a link on 2gstratus.org to their site. Also a lot of information on their about the car. |

Ok. Next dumb question. On the RIPP site, they keep referring to the 4G64
engine (in Stratus coupe). What's the difference between that and the 2.4 L DOHC found in my 4 door sedan? actually, I never really looked into it, I saw it once and only looked at it
for about 2 minutes before I realized a) I didn't want to blow up my car and B) I couldn't afford it... so they may not have anything for the sedan. (get the COUPE!) I know that a good bit of info can be found on that site 2gstratus.org, but again, someone there would be better equiped to answer your questions i'm sure. I'm just dumb. For what they are referring to, it's just the block, not the heads, not the cams, nothing but the block (probably -- I'm not an expert, but with my engine code I've seen it used to refer to 3.0 engines that have options mine doesn't, for example DOHC). Chances are that if you're looking at a site with an engine that was an option for your car (or, the same displacement/cylinders/arrangement) then your code will be the same. FWIW, it's also stamped onto the block in a fairly conspicuous (*read, "if you can get to it") place. HIH CJ -- THIS POST ORIGINATED FROM USENET, *NOT* ANY WEB-BASED FORUM!
