Default Oil life indicators

Got a question regarding the remaining oil life indicators. I just changed
the oil and reset the system as described in the owners manual. The display
in the drivers message center came back to read 100%, unlike the bars on the
right side of the HUD which still indicate about half way down.

Are the bars in the HUD page, which is displayed on the windshield, and the
Remaining Oil Life message, which is in the dashboard, designed to display
similar readings?

Thanks Guys.

Regards,
Dom

Turn your key on, do not start the car, let the HUD light up, press the
accelerator to the floor 3 times quickly. Then tell us what happened.
