Default Rabbit Water Outlet o-ring and Housing to block o-ring ?

Hi

A question for the A1 vws, in particular the 1984 Rabbbit gti.

There are two o-rings: (1) the water outlet o-ring at the thermostat, and
there is another o-ring (2) the one where the water pump housing meets the
block.

Are these the same parts? I think they are.
