Why is it a problem owning a CRD in Massachusetts?
I bought one just a few weeks ago and love it. Not as nearly as roomy as my Expedition that I traded in on it, but almost three times the mileage is great. Another nice thing. This weekend on the way home from a friends I found a gas station with B11. $2.72/gallon while at home gas is going $3.09. They also had B26 there. I should have gone with it. Seems there are a lot of distributors of Biodiesel in Illinois, but not too many retailers. googleposter wrote: > All, > Do any of you very smart people know if there is a way I can own (and > drive!) a Jeep Liberty CRD in Massachusetts. > |

You know your are subsiding the costs of 2.24 a gallon to produce
ethanol and biodiesel, compared with 63 cents for gasoline? http://www.comptroller.state.tn.us/o..._alt_fuels.pdf Why do you think pays for that? I think you need to re-read the article.
It does not cost 2.24 to produce biodiesel and that cost/benefit of ethanol is very debatable. In all states they have to license Federal "49" state vehicles if they
are bought as used cars with a certain mileage on them. So just look for a used one. |

Hi Marty,
Maybe you like to study this Oregon Department of Energy's report, of course you'll have to compensate for the present price of fuel: http://www.energy.state.or.us/biomass/Cost.htm Then it helps to know how biodiesel is made, basically it is ten gallons of pump diesel, five gallons of oil like used to fry fries in, and five gallons of rubbing alcohol, from which you cook and filter fifteen gallons of muck. Ethanol, even the 85% will destroy even the especially made cars to use it. Bill****! like usual. Making biodiesel does not use rubbing alcohol, it uses wood alcohol which is methanol. B100 requires about thirty to forty cents worth of methanol and lye per finished gallon. |

Look at a bottle rubbing alcohol and it's Isopropyl, look it up:
http://dl.clackamas.cc.or.us/ch106-03/nomencla.htm "common names of wood alcohol". Geez you're ignorant! Do a Google search before you make a bigger fool of yourself!
