....when you can do it on a frozen lake, especially when there's a plowed
up speed and handling course. Great grip with 4wd, but next time I'll
sacrifice grip for fun and take my BMW. The automatic really takes some
of the fun out of it, and I was a bit worried about rolling, even though
my '97 Cherokee is stock height and I kept it below 90 mph or so. With
the 535i I should easily be able to hit 140 mph, assuming there aren't
too many vehicles and people moving about. Stay tuned...

Looks like fun... but I would be way too concerned with falling through
the ice.

Nah, if you go fast enough that's not a problem...

Seriously though, I read on the 'net that the ice thickness on that lake
is about 1 foot. 4 in. is supposedly minimum to support a normal sized
car, so three times that should be more than enough.

Anyway, I'm not worried, would I hit a thin spot I'd most likely do I at
speed, at which point it wouldn't matter.

With a little luck I'll post another clip after this weekend, keep your
fingers crossed... :-)

Ulf
