As I mentioned before, nobody else is writing biographies. Why
should I? If people think what I say comes solely from books, then they
are as stupid as you and Patrick. I don't answer to the impotent
bravado you two have escalated to new heights of absurdity.

Of course, I realize it's all a sham. You are as transparent as
glass. "Charges"? What a ****ing fantasy world you live in. And you are
so rattled you think I'm pulling the truck's engine to put in the
Torino. What a dork.

Nice try, butt you failed on virtually everything. No wonder you're
in a cubicle now. I did notice *you* didn't tell us what that
despicable job is that you were moaning about a couple days ago. Does
your boss know you post here on a company computer?

You sir, are the master of bull****... claiming to be something you're
not. You let on that you were of driving age when the 60's cars were
rolling out of the factory. You claim you're a master
mechanic/gearhead. You're not. You're nothing more than car stereo
installer, or were. You claim you own 1,000s of pounds of old car
magazines, but to date you've never quoted anything from any of them.
So it was a lie. You don't own any old magazines, admit it. You let
on like your 20+ classics are driveable. But so far to date you give
no evidence, so it's now fair to believe they're nothing more
junk/wrecked cars sitting around your yard on cinder blocks. Quite a
track record there, Rick.

Know you're **** or full of ****?

Can't vouch for Bill, but I'm frustrated. I've given you ample
opportunities to level with us. I could easily accept all the things I
wrote above about you as being absolutely spot on, I'd be cool with
that, but you avoiding questions and out and out lying makes you out to
be a real low-life. I thought... always hoped, you were better than
that.

> But as as psycho as you are, you do feed my sadistic side. Did you

It was on Sunday. Got there late and ended up running about 15-16
minutes after the rest of the other 1/2 marathoners. I still wanted to
run so I just timed myself using my own watch. On my watch, I posted a
1 hour 39 minute and 17 second run time. ["Officially", meaning on
their clock, with the 15-16 minute handicap, they posted me running a
1:54 something.] I was very happy with my performance. I maintained a
7:35-7:40 mile for the full 13.1 miles and felt great all the way
through. Quite unlike last year, when I thought I wouldn't be able to
make it. This week is rest and recovery then it's back in the gym on
Monday.

Here's an answer to a trivia question. 18,000 strides = a half
marathon. That's what my pedometer counted Sunday.

Oh puleeze pull *that* statement out of google.

Pull that "master mechanic" crap out of google, too.

You think everyone here has to do that because you do it?

Keep that google feed going, liar.

I don't *need* to give evidence just because *you* demand it in your
flailing impotence. You are nothing special here, Patrick. Your main
forte is regurgitating the news. That's all you've ever done.

Bugs the **** out of you, doesn't it? Of course, that's obvious.

Nope, you wouldn't. If I actually wrote an "auto" biography, it
would take hours to work on and you would still call it bull****
because I don't have the time slip.

No, Patrick, CobraJet *is* a low-life. Ain't nothing lower than a
snake-in-the-grass. That's where he and you differ. You worry about a
"reputation" in a venue that's dying out, and I don't give a crap what
people think. I know where my head is at.

While it is true that there seems to be absolutely nothing on-topic he
contributes that I (or anyone else) couldn't readily find elsewhere,
it's sort of nice having him around as a media gopher.

E.g., a couple weeks ago, "hey, 13 new American Muscle Car episodes,
gotta remember to check TiVo."

Media gopher. That's good. The thing is, Patrick has manufactured
this vision of himself as someone elite around here simply because of
the longevity factor. He's really touchy about his "reputation".
Pushing *that* button is what got his "prove it" tirade going. You'd
think by now he'd know better.

Saw that. I've moved into the other building, but still have to dig
a trench for the cable. Maybe I'll catch reruns.

I've been amazed at the defensiveness, and his grasping at straws to
prove his point. "Get out your camera, and mail me greasy fingerprints.
You're full of **** with no timeslips from the late 70s". I suppose
his would be laminated and framed. And he's not very convincing when
making what he knows to be false accusations.

I freely admit to being a freakshow (my non-alter ego does, too) from
time to time, but at least I don't soberly embarrass myself in on-topic
discussions. If that (and 'The List') is considered "elite", then the
status quo is worse than I thought.

There have been some good ones. I got the TiVo box for the wife as a
b-day gift, thinking it would just be a useless TV appliance to me. Now
I just search, and record all those shows I want. I put in the keyword
"submarines", and got a bunch of cool stuff. I highly recommend it.

Not everyone is, but that's not my expectation, either. Some just like
to burn rubber, attend cruises, and do plug-and-play improvements. Not
a damned thing wrong with that, so long as you have a modicum of
willingness to listen, discuss, learn, and do all the things Usenet was
intended for. I enjoy helping people if they are willing to engage in
an honest discussion, and I enjoy the reciprocal side of that, too.

I was popped in and out from about 96 or 97-present, at times not
checking back in for years. I do remember my slow dialup speeds at the
time, and hundreds of messages / day. That's part of why my
participation was limited. I was also in school, working, and had a
serious GF, and therefore very limited time and budget all told.
Working at parts stores helped...

With the recent resurgence in the Mustang hobbyist field, and the
changing demographics, I can see that. OTOH, those numbers might
continue to support RAMFM, and it may do better than other groups have.
But what it sounds like you're saying is that it has already weathered
storms...
