83 CJ vs. 75 Land Cruiser
Which would you want?
I'm in the market to buy a 4x4, I just don't know which. I need the pros and cons of both. But the Land Cruiser and the CJ are definately my style. -Craig |

I drive an 83 CJ, so that is my vote. much easier to find parts for, and
there is cool aftermarket stuff all over. "Muuurgh" > wrote in message m... > Which would you want? > I'm in the market to buy a 4x4, I just don't know which. I need the > pros and cons of both. > But the Land Cruiser and the CJ are definately my style. > > -Craig |

Depends on how they're set up. I'm more of a Jeep guy myself, but I'd
love to get my hands on an old landcruiser if it's diesil. The Landcruiser is the better rig and holds it's value better. But when push
comes to shove and rock to fender, the CJ has parts, accessories, and everything else going for it. Torque at low rpm.
Although the Jeep 4.2 engine is a low end powerhouse too. I climb sand pit walls and top them turning 400 rpm with BFG 33x9.5" muds. Get too steep and the engine will just dig holes with he tires, it never stalls. We went looking for either when my wife decided it was time we got a serious 4x4 for off road and bush camping trips. We found a CJ7 first for the right price.
