Seems like a reasonable response to what you posted. Perhaps the sentence
is above is taken out of context?????

Check out any of the ALMS cars. They have the same tow eye rule.

I say make them into earrings!
-alex-
(who's 90b still had the eyes when he sold it last month because they
came in handy when trailing the car when he moved each year)...
05 Nordic Green with hooks!

Bear in mind that the SCCA GCR is a "permissive" rulebook: if it doesn't
say you CAN do something, then you cannot. An absence of policy would
mean you can't mess with it. It's a point-of-view issue.

No, no. The new purpose must be intended to get the car around the track
more quickly. Even if it requires an alternative physics model and/or
significant suspension of disbelief.

Wow, you'all are having a great time with the tow hooks ehh? The
factory ones are still there, but I am removing them to install SCCA
racing spec hooks that I bought from saferacer.com The rules do call
for tow hooks like you guys said, and Mazdaspeed Motorsports
development sells a set but they are unpainted and $50 with tax and
shipping. Saferacers were painted orange already, and $40 without tax.
When I remove the tow hooks I make sure to let everyone know, I'll have
em on ebay ha, ha. If you guys need any other parts from the car some
of them are on ebay right now, get'em while they last!
