SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Reuters) - Texas has begun sending undercover agents
into bars to arrest drinkers for being drunk, a spokeswoman for the Texas
Alcoholic Beverage Commission said on Wednesday.

The first sting operation was conducted recently in a Dallas suburb where
agents infiltrated 36 bars and arrested 30 people for public
intoxication, said the commission's Carolyn Beck.

<...>

The goal, she said, was to detain drunks before they leave a bar and go
do something dangerous like drive a car.

<...>

She said the sting operations would continue throughout the state.

Exactly. They are using the ruse of "traffic safety," to further their
real goal of getting us to be totally submissive to the whims of the
state. That slippery slope just got *a lot* steeper.

Someone tell this commission spokeswoman that she is a liar and full of
****. To say that they are detaining them before they leave the bar and
drive is like saying that they are going into an adult bookstore and
arresting the customers there because they might go out and rape someone
later.

That's what happens when government is the grantor of privilege.

It really got started with motorcycle helmet laws, and its been
downhill ever since. It is the rise of the fascistic "Nanny State."
