Crankshaft Pulley Removal
I can't seem to remove the crankshaft pully from my 1987 Toyota Pickup 2WD.
Ive tried everything from impact wrenches to locking the flywheel with a metal rod. Can anyone give me any suggestions? |

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Why would one with a Toyota ever need tools. To
Date (68 till 2004) no Toyota has needed anything but tires and oil changes. Is this what's involved to change the oil?????????????????? I have often resorted to heating the head of the bolt with an O/A torch, then smacking it with a good hammer. THEN get a good solid "johnson bar" and socket to fit. Brace the bar either against the frame or concrete floor and engage the starter, with plugs removed. Have never had one refuse this combination treatment (note - engine MUST be installed in the vehicle.) |
