I think they are underrated cars particularly if you are in a state
where you can put an aftermarket manifold and four barrel on and ditch the EGR, catalysts, and all that disgusting plumbing. Yes you must figure out the advance and carb jets so it will run well. If you must run emissions I would either go to a modern computer engine (there must be a package) or go propane. If propane will shut your emissionazis up. There probably never was a factory manual in these so a five speed swap would probably be a PITA for clutch pedal and linkage. The four speed TorqueFlite would improve things. A lot. The double square headlights are ugly and the earlier round headlight nose piece would probably retrofit if you were going to paint anyway. I would definitely go to a nice set of aftermarket wheels with a reasonable tire and get rid of the vinyl top at all costs. But there are a lot of desirable 60s cars still available just as cheap and you have no emissions worries that way. |

One is reminded of Ari Onassis, who had the bar stools of his yacht,
'Christina', upholstered with whale penis hide. He was fond of casually informing female guests that they were sitting on the biggest dick in the world. |

Not up north. All are either rusted to dust or locked away in someone's garage. The only time you see them is the two weeks around the dream cruise and this is in Detroit! |

Actually this car is from up in the northern states, the state does'nt
use salt on the roads thus no rust. And I drive this car all year, I have studded tires all the way around. |
