156 Clutch Advice Plse
Hi - 156 1.8 1999 -
Problem with clutch pedal - suddenly gave way - no pressure at all and unable to change gears. Clutch master cylinder replaced and all well for a couple of days, then the problem reoccurs!! System has been bled & checked for leaks - pedal functions ok again for a couple of days but then gives way again!! Any ideas of what to try next - slave cylinder perhaps??? Any advice greatly appreciated as its driving me crazy!!! |

Sounds like your "new" master cylinder was faulty.

Having suffered similar myself on the 75, I'd say that it's definitely a slave cylinder. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 VW Golf GL Cabrio - Alfa 75 TS - VW Passat 1.8T 20V SE - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |
