Dave, which lane do you use on I-465?
I-465, the interstate ring around Indy, is >= 4 lanes wide.
Dave, I believe you drive there quite a bit, as you correctly recognized the IN-37 on ramp in the pic I posted. Which lane do you use on I465, and what's your cruising speed? Lemme guess: leftmost, and 55+7=62 mph. Right? |

Right? Moved away in '96. But before that, I used whatever lane was available. I don't think I often used the leftmost lane, as I didn't drive it much during the rush and because I didn't normally go very far when I did get on it. No, on a big road like that, I'd simply set my cruise speed (not necessarily cruise controlled) for whatever the traffic was doing, plus a few mph more. I-465 is not in Virginia. Get a ticket from ISP? I can pay it. Ditto sheriff, etc. It wasn't the death sentence that they try to inflict in Virginia. If I recall, I usually used the lane just to the left of the rightmost lane mostly. Switched when I had to pass. DPH |

You admit that you just pay the fine and keep right on speeding. If you faced a week in the county jail for each mph over the limit, you wouldn't speed. And don't tell me the jails would be jammed then, because I guarantee very few would speed if penalties were severe. |

Damned, you've posted some *incredibly* stupid **** before, but this is
nearly the top of the pile. Of course punishment would be an excellent deterent to speeding and thusly improve highway safety. Just look at how good the punishment for murder is doing in DC. Care to try saying something a little more coherent than your usual rantings? Like, perhaps, "duh?" Later, loser. Have a great new year! |

Why don't you make a New Year's resolution to stop posting your drivel to usenet. |

Well, penalties are severe for dealing drugs - life in prison is some places like Michigan if I remember right - and people still do it anyway. DPH |
