Loose Gas Cap does the MIL reset itself?
2000 Dodge Caravan 3.3l had a loose gas cap and set the MIL light.
At least I *think* that's what it was since the cap was loose and the engine seems to be running fine. Anyone know for certain if the MIL goes out after a certain number of engine on's ? The FSM is not clear as it lumps them (various failures) all together and says some go off after 40 cycles, others after the same failure conditions are met (temp/speed etc) and the bad signal is no longer present. Anyone know for sure? TIA Lindy |

IIRC, it should reset after a full tank of gas. If the gas cap being off or
loose is what caused it.
