No, I think the "yeild" sticker on the back of the bus relieves them from looking for a break in traffic, so they start to feel like they don't have to any defensive driving. My personal favorite is when a car pulls up next to a bus in traffic, as the bus has the four way flashers on at a stop. Then as they sit stopped next to the left side of the bus, the driver changes from four ways to left turn signal, and pulls out, cutting them off. Bernard |

I still haven't gotten an answer on the driving-around-with-high-beams on thing. Metro says it's not standard practice and to report any bus driving with the highs on, but they ALL still do it - but of course who can get the number of a bus coming at you with high beams on? nate -- replace "fly" with "com" to reply. http://home.comcast.net/~njnagel |

Wait until it passes and then read the number off the back? |

Probably thanks to a member of the Concerned Citizens with Cell Phones Brigade™ (AKA the "Rat *******s"), who happens to be riding the bus, calling the police. -- ~/Garth |"I believe that it is better to tell the truth than a lie. If this story you are telling is actually true--in the present day as opposed to years in the past--the transit officials can just review the recordings of that day's events and get a positive ID of who they are looking for. |
