I would look into the Stage 3 again if I was interested. The Stage 3 in '03
was rated just 10 hp and ft.lbs. less than the Cobra, but a fully loaded
($50K sticker) Roush would run circles around my Cobra. I opted for a $36K
Cobra as it offered the performance level I wanted for an affordable price.

Heh. Last night I saw a 2003 SVT Cobra (red--****ing beautiful) line up
against my buddy in his 2003 Corvette........ and my friend was ****ed that
he lost. It was roughly 1/8 of a mile.. and the Cobra won by about 2 full
car lengths... and the vette wasn't pulling.. it was fairly even.

Hell, I love Corvettes.. and I love Mustangs (especially SVT Cobra's)... but
the Cobra won.. and it wasn't THAT close of a match either. Both are stock.

Why beat the z06 ? I can tell you now; it WON'T happen. the z06 has
500hp and weighs less. To outdo it, the Mustang needs to have 550hp.
Won't happen. Doesn't have to. My guess is it will be under 40K and
have around 450 hp.

Track time, perhaps? Attacking a person's "short comings elsewhere" is old
as hell. Come up with some new **** I can laugh at =(.

Some people might want a fast 1/4 mile car straight from the factory while
remaining streetable. Some ppl don't have the knowledge of experience to
*build* their own fast 1/4 miler.
