Default What car did I see?

I was just in a mall parking lot and I saw a car which drew my
attention. There was nothing really special about the way that it
looked - a newish looking compact, non-descript styling, roof-line
kind of rounded.

What drew my attention was the name, which I can't remember - but the
symbol on both the hood and the rear trunk was a rather large "T"
split down the middle and in a circle. There was no manufacturer's
name evident anywhere on the car. There was a model name on the lower
right of the trunk and all that I recall of that is that it started
with an "E".

Can anyone identify this car?

I wouldn't describe the emblem that way, but could it be the Toyota Echo?

Or if it had the smallest usable trunk of any car, and it looks like they
forgot to attach the back end of the car, it could be the Echo hatchback.

JB,
The symbol description seems to fit Tata Motors of India that exports to
Europe. Here is the website
http://www.tatamotors.com/
and you can tell us if it is the same. The weird colors kind of make the
symbol look different from what i have seen on their cars.

Sounds like a Daewoo Lanos. The Daewoo logo, actually a stylized
"D" turned on its side, resembles a split "T." And the Lanos fits
your description. Could it be possible that you misremember the
model name as startign with an "E?"

Go to http://www.daewoous.com, click on "Lanos," and note the
picture of the hatchback version of the car.
