Good enough tires for a Grand Prix ?
Hello,
All 4 tires on my 99 Pont Grand Prix GTP are just about used up. I will be replacing them in Sept. I am in Syracuse, NY. Last year was a snowy, slippery winter. I was all over the road. All weather tires work great around here the first few years; utill the new-tire "edge" is worn off. I will be getting all weathers. Last time I bought tires was for a 95 Grand Am. I got the cheaper ones and I could feel the difference compared to the original tires. The tire guy warned me the sidewalls were not as firm as they are on major brands. Does anyone have any recommendations for off-brand-name tires that are pretty good. Saving $200 on 4 tires would be nice if I don't have to give up alot. I am not looking for much - lowish noise, pretty good traction, pretty good handling, and fairly good tread life. Thanks, Barry. |

Michelin Harmony. A bit more expensive, but worth the extra.
