Default SC1 stalling/starting problems

I've read a couple other postings with similar comments but I thought I
would get some opinions on my situation. My '97 SC1 seems to occasionally
have starting and idling problems. Most of the time (when it occurs) the
car has a bad shuddering when idling. when you accelerate there seems to
be no power from the car. I can put the pedal to the floor and get only a
slow acceleration. I've taken it in and they replaced a crank sensor.
(which may or not have been bad) but the problem came back. the weird
thing is that this usually happens in damp or sometimes cold weather.
I've put fuel line cleaner in many times (like "Heet") it seems to clear
the problem up for a short time. Last night it ran fine this morning it
won't start at all. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. thanks

There was a fuel pump problem on 'some' 97's that Saturn extended the
warranty on. They mailed out a letter to VIN's affected (I received one).
However I think even if yours was one that is affected, the extended period
has expired by now (sorry). Is everything else fine, like plug wires and
coil towers? I used to get corrosion on one of the coils regularly.

I have a 97 SL2, even thought the warrenty for fixing is out, I
believe the test is a freebie, since it's simple. Might want to get
it done, so you can rule out the fuel pump issues.
